I recently got a new work laptop, a Dell Latitude 7290 and needed a docking station to connect my 2 HP ZR2740W DisplayPort monitors. I was also hoping that the docking station would work with my personal laptop, my 2015 MacBook Pro. I bought a Dell D6000 docking station because they had one at work and they could connect both USB-C and USB-A. Unfortunately, it couldn't find one of my monitors no matter what I did - changed cables, updated drivers, etc. I thought this unit was broken, but the replacement had the same issue. Luckily, I came across HP's version of the Universal Monitor. doc
