There are many reviews here claiming this product got stuck in the reviewer's ears or IN their ear canal. This would not have happened if they had read the instructions for use. It's easy to assume you'll put them in your ear to act as a "plug". And honestly, if they didn't look like a fork, it might ease some of the confusion. But if you take the extra step of reading the instructions (especially if you bought them for your child) you won't abuse them. I actually threw the packaging away, but the instructions are right there on the packaging for everyone to read. The instructions on Revain are very similar, if not exact: flatten the buds with your fingers and shape them to cover the outer ear until snug. Do not, under any circumstances, tear off connectors. Use the entire plug for each ear. DO NOT COMPRESS THE EAR CANAL. If you follow these instructions, you won't have the problems others are complaining about. These ear tips work great and can be reused multiple times as long as there aren't any weird marks around your ear that could affect adhesion.
