It has been almost 5 years since I purchased my last APEC reverse osmosis system and in 5 years it has shown excellent results. I was very happy with the taste of the water and how the system was set up, but the hassle of changing the filter leaves a lot of room for improvement. I started researching another reverse osmosis system and on my facebook feed. A twist style reverse osmosis system that offers excellent water filtration with easy installation and maintenance. The whole package is very well thought out and everything seems to have a purpose in this well built system. I decided to pull the trigger again and say goodbye to my trusty old system. The system arrived well packaged and organized with 3 inner boxes separating the system, tank and accessories. Unlike standard ROs, these filters are built into the housing and come pre-installed along with a sealed protection mechanism. I only have to worry about connecting the supply hoses to the existing connection. The whole process took no more than 10 minutes as all the 1/4" fittings are the same as my previous RO. The only thing I changed was the feed water tank and adapter as I feel like new the feed water adapter Comes with the Aquasure system is much better. Another thing I noticed is that the fittings have integrated o-rings so I don't have to fiddle with teflon tapes trying to guess how much of it I need, the system still supplied a bunch of teflon tape which struck me as odd but I think some people will find a use for it depending on the setup. Although my installation was very easy due to the existing connections already made on the previous RO, I still see how much the new system's design surpasses the old, even for those who didn't have the old setup this leads to about 94% TDS rejection, which is comparable to the previous system. The water tastes the same but slightly sweeter overall I love how the Aquasure system is packaged and how easy it is to change out the filters. I also really like my old reverse osmosis system, but didn't miss the effort of changing the filters and making sure everything was tightened properly. The new reverse osmosis system is a welcome relief when it comes time to replace your filters in the future. For those of you looking to purchase and install your own reverse osmosis system, this is definitely worth considering.
