Review on Black Audio-Technica ATH-M50X Professional Grade Studio Monitor Headphones with Detachable Cable - Critically Acclaimed by Aashit Patel (Mansu) ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Everything in the product suited me, the price is generally perfect.

Friends, today February 22, 2022, I came from a very famous headphone store in Hong Kong - I bought a direct replacement cable 1.2 m and in fact only they have the original cable in Hong Kong. Attempts to buy a cable from the official partner of Audio-Techniques "Sava-service" ended with a promise from a telephone conversation with a nice girl about the supply of a cable on order from one month to six months, let me remind you - 2022 is in the yard. Another well-known djing store promised to bring prepaid from Hong Kong within a month, perhaps Hong Kong is very far away. I listened to a non-original cable on Gorbushka, they said that Sennheiser, which I'm not sure about, didn't like it. I think the situation is the same with cables from Ali. I recommend changing, if necessary, the cable only to the original one. Friends, for me personally, today there are NO competitors to these headphones. Yes, there are many excellent full-size headphones that are close and not very in spirit, presentation, etc. But, for me, only a modest long-playing HIT from Audio-technica ATH-M50x.

Pros
  • 1) SOUND - and this is the main thing, then: balance, frequency response, sensitivity, resistance, etc. 2) Tolerant to the signal source: you can listen from a portable hi-res player and from a music smartphone 3) Reliability of the design, with the exception of the cable, but we will consider it a consumable item - I wear it every day for many years, in winter and summer
Cons
  • 1) Support for the manufacturer and dealers - below in the comments 2) The 2.5 microjack plug is still a bit long and I agree with the commentators - it touches clothes, especially when moving and turning the head, especially about winter clothes
