I have a 26" Northrock XC-6 mountain bike (from Costco). I currently ride my kids leisurely. Once the seatpost latch is in place (maybe 45-60 minutes if you take your time ), it takes less than 5 seconds to remove or attach the seat and be ready for any occasion. Once attached the seat is stable and safe for me 18 months old I have a feeling they are definitely using this seat can until he's 3 or 4 years old (my 5 year old actually does.) I've seen some complaints about the 'ease of use' of the seat belts, and honestly, it's not that hard folks!'t. Put child in seat, buckle up, put on helmet - voila. To unbuckle, first remove your child's helmet. My bike has a seat post latch. It's so small and barely noticeable. My feet don't get scratched while riding ht on the latch, and it doesn't get in the way of brake cables or tools. Plus I can still keep my water bottle and tire pump on my bike! When the seat is removed it stays in one piece so I can quickly remove it and set it aside without worrying about loose or breakable parts. The only change I had to make was the seat spoke guard, which does a great job of protecting the tiny feet from the rear wheel and road debris. The bottom corner of the guard barely touched my rear wheel and was a bit noisy while riding. It wouldn't harm my bike and the plastic protector would eventually wear off, but I went ahead with a standard utility knife and cut it off about 1/4 inch - perfection was achieved! Don't forget that all bikes are slightly different. I can guarantee that your Northrock backpack or standard 26" Giant mountain bike will fit in this baby carrier. rear suspension.
