I thought I found the right solution for my Asus desktop which only comes with a PS/2 port. I plugged it in but was frustrated because the keyboard still worked but not the mouse, not to mention the next time the computer got stuck on startup saying press delete or F 2 to go to settings go bios after I came back, removed the adapter, just put the keyboard back. PS 2 port on the desktop and uses a different adapter, PS 2 to USB for the mouse, which may or may not be a separate issue. At this point I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
