This product is trash. I used it on a new necklace and it broke within an hour. I'm glad I was in the car and found the necklace. Thinking it was just some kind of nonsense the next day I tried another one on another necklace but it didn't happen again, the second one broke. It's not a magnet, it's a device that holds magnets. It's just cheap thin metal rings that break. Be careful if you use them for something you don't want to lose.
