I've been working remotely all the time since the COVID-19 outbreak shut down much of the US. I have a home office that I set up years ago but use mainly for personal matters, although it's a nice, comfortable place. While working remotely, I spent most of my time in Microsoft Teams and Zoom meetings. Sometimes as an active participant or speaker, sometimes as a visitor. During this time I used a headset instead of PC speakers and microphone. I added this XIAOKOA microphone so I don't have to keep the headset on all the time. First, it was very easy to set up a Windows 10 user (fully updated/patched). I plugged it in and Teams and Zoom recognized it immediately. I had to turn the mic volume up a bit because I usually place it about 2 feet from the mic. In my "can you hear me now" tests, 2-3 feet seems to be the optimal range. The further, the worse the sound quality of my voice. It has a power button on the top and buttons on the side that glow blue. LED lighting I think the lighting is pretty cool so I left it on. I have a good quality mic that I use to record online workouts and podcasts, but I need to stay within 6-8 inches of the mic for optimal quality. I like this mic for everyday meetings and just the occasional gig. People can hear me very well. This is a good basic microphone suitable for online meetings and webcasts. I'm definitely glad I added it.
