Review on KAUKKO Outdoor Backpack Rucksack Shoulder Backpacks : Laptop Backpacks by Patricia Williams

Great stylish everyday bag, but this is not a hiking bag.

The bag is big and I like it. I could get all kinds of "book bags" with buttons and zippers. I did not want that. I wanted a simple, stylish bag with lots of space that I could comfortably carry on my back. I use it as an everyday bag, i.e. for night trips, to school and as hand luggage when traveling. It's probably a decent "everyday backpack" if you know you need space even when you travel. Pros: Stylish: It looks way better than the typical "Swiss Army Knife" with buttons and zippers all over. I can organize my things by myself, thanks. The leather straps don't look fake or anything and although they are magnetic they easily attach/remove with no hassle. Large: Plenty of room in the bag. This is probably the size of your hips at the height of your neck, but it's not too low or wide to look oversized. COMFORT: The bag has enough padding on the back/straps to keep you cool and out of the bag. loading of the anchor points. Sizing Pockets: While the sizing pockets aren't big enough for something like the 32-ounce Nalgene, the sizing pockets are good enough for most of the 20-24 ounce vacuum insulated water bottles that are so popular today. The extra straps are actually helpful as they prevent the bottle from falling out. On the other hand, I keep handy towels/things ready to dry my hands. - Small Details: The additional straps sewn with nylon on the shoulder straps are good for quickly attaching a key carabiner, etc. or quickly wearing sunglasses. The smaller front pocket zips under a magnetic flap so nothing can fall out. -- Colors/Fabric: I chose gray nylon webbing for water resistance and came with tan leather with bronzed metal and red/white striped interior. Canvas would probably look great, but I needed water resistance and was concerned that blue with red stripes would look too feminine and black would be too boring for a man. Cons: -- Can look feminine: As mentioned above, the red stripes can make the bag look a little feminine (I'm a man) if you're not careful with the colors. This is not (nor should it be) a problem, but be aware of it. Inner/laptop pockets: There are a total of 3 inner pockets in the main pocket: two smaller fabric pockets and a laptop pocket. The inner pockets don't hold things very well if they aren't big enough. Small items may fall out as they are looser and have no fasteners. The laptop sleeve, while nice, is perfectly adequate for a screen no larger than 15 inches. I have a thin 14 inch computer and it fits in pretty snugly. I ended up buying a cheap laptop bag and using a laptop bag instead of laptops/binders. Weight Distribution: Because the bag is so tall and has few pockets, the weight distribution in the bag tends to be very low. . With straps that high, it can sometimes feel odd that the weight isn't perfectly placed on your upper back. It's not terrible, but it does mean I wouldn't recommend it for something where you're walking around a lot and carrying a lot of items. There are other bags that are perfect for hiking/camping that will definitely do the trick.
