I put these on either side of the mirror near the front door for decoration and also to light candles to keep out the smell of kitty litter (when guests arrive) and the smell of cats poop immediately - it's not the first impression I want people to have of my home). I wanted something that looked a bit modern and had a glass lid for the candle (so the cat couldn't try to knock it over) and it fitted the bill. They were very easy to put on and looked beautiful. I deducted 1 star for 2 reasons: 1) I wish there was another mounting hole on the bottom of each piece so the unit doesn't move every time I lift the jar to light a candle. I could just nail 2 small finishing nails in the bottom corners to fix it. 2) I want the candlestick to be 0.25 or 0.5 inch wider. I have a hard time finding the right candles. It fits a candle up to 2.5 inches wide, but most candles I find are 2.75 or 3 inches in diameter. 2.75" fits the base but not the glass top. Maybe it's because it's the holidays and a lot of candles are sold out, but it's a bit annoying and I've finally used some tea lights (you can see them in the stand dainty off).
