The door isn't removed. There's no latch to hold it open, which seems very odd. I mean, no latch to hold it open. It's just a gate. Have a pet with thumbs that can open locks lol you have to hold the door open with something [we used white paracord] or play bouncer with your furry ass it's 5 stars but overall it's a pretty decent gate !
