Pros: Works fine for data storage. 500 gigabytes is a good size for the price. No additional power supply (assuming your USB port can supply enough). Looks very nice and simple. Cons: USB 2.0 is slow compared to more modern USB 3.0+. Don't expect fast data transfer. Depending on your use case, this might not matter to you. That's not for me. Some USB ports don't provide enough power, so you'll need to add a USB power adapter to the second port that's hanging out at the end. I set up my Wii to load my game collection onto my hard drive using the USBLoader GX. Now I can store my games where kids can't scratch them and enjoy any game I want from the comfort of my couch! The Wii only has USB2.0 ports, so drive speed doesn't matter. The USB port on the Wii is enough to rotate this disc normally, so no additional power supply is required.
