Scale is ok but terrible connection issues

For basic measurements this scale works fine but that's not why I paid so much money for a smart scale. I have two main criticisms. First, endless connection problems. It requires a 2.4GHz connection and will never be able to maintain that connection. Every few days it refuses to upload measurements. He cannot get out of this state on his own. Calling support will walk you through reconnecting via the app. At some point, the scale refuses to use your WiFi password, claiming it's wrong (it's not). Tech support will then walk you through a factory reset. This works but is not an acceptable solution as it happens every few days. Turns out you just have to press "reset" once, wait about 3 minutes (during that time the scale will display a wrench indicating it wants to go through the setup - just ignore it), eventually it will shut down. Now it's connected again. I have to do this every few days. I find it really pathetic. I have several other smart devices, some of which require a 2.4GHz connection, but I don't need to reset any of them. Second, if the guest uses a scale, it only shows their weight. All other metrics require a Garmin account, which is also a shame. Since I otherwise invest in Garmin devices, I'm stuck with this scale if I want to have all my data in one place. Unless you use other Garmin devices I would stay away from these scales.
