The lid itself is well made, looks stylish and works as described. To tighten, turn the small knob clockwise until it stops, then push down toward the reservoir to conceal and continue turning clockwise to lock. The flush look is great! I have a 2013 Iron 883. As my tank aged, a ring formed around the gas tank from the previous cap. The new cap is cool but a little smaller so you can see the harness. It's minor for me but might make someone hesitate.
