This was a very cheap and handy replacement for a 12 year old Linux server PSU (replacement itself) that after 5 faithful years broke 24/7/365 Dienst explosively killed himself . Plugging in the new power supply was quick and easy and the server was up and running and humming (loudly) 15 minutes after I snatched it from the hands of the Revain courier. I have to say that this is one of the NOISY fans. I don't really care since the server is in a closet, but I'd be furious if I had to yell at my desktop all day. If fan noise is an issue, I would recommend a more expensive PSU or invest a few bucks in a quieter fan.
