The cutting blade was nothing but a piece of metal...probably 1/8 inch thick. He tore up my cucumber. In my opinion the whole block is too big to use and store. I come back. just too big, difficult to store and unusable. Too expensive for what I got. The cutting blade was about 1/8 inch thick, it doesn't cut, it grinds and ruins whatever you cut. It's too big for general use. And also. Difficult to store. Old-fashioned graters are still the best. i give it back
