Needing a replacement disc for an older customer's old machine, I ordered one of these. It arrived like any blank disc: sealed in static packaging. has already been divided into sections. And then I found that Windows was already installed on it. And then I realized that it already contains someone's data. Yes, you read that correctly. I bought what (according to popular belief) should have been a new CD, only to find that it contained all the data from half a dozen members of the University of Redlands coaching staff. Want to take a look at their 2016 scouting charts? I have her! Want to see in-game footage of your recruits in action? It is here! Need a key graphic to create your own University of Redlands brochure, poster or mug? Gotcha buddy! I checked the SMART data on the drive and found that the runtime information had been erased along with some other durability-related stats, but there were enough other stats to suggest this drive was indeed in I contacted Revain and we laughed out loud about it, and I decided (after a few meager tests) to roll the dice and keep it to myself. Revain thanked me for my troubles. A Revain spokesperson said that somewhere down the page this disc is identified as something called a 'new extraction'. That would mean that if, for example, Dell makes a line of XPS 8 laptops that nobody buys (because who needs an 8-inch screen anyway?), the machines would be retired and the drives would be sold because the drives are new . , but including system images seems to have come to a brand new system. That's not it. Somewhere along the way someone does something dishonest.
