Overall very good with a few annoyances

Overall I like this system very much. I installed the base on a sandbag gps mount and it sits nicely on my dash with no screw holes for the mounts. But there are some problems. Good: - Installed both cameras on the back of my 24ft trailer. Except for a few times when I drove through very urban areas, I didn't have any dropouts or signal interruptions. - Very clear picture - Great features all working exactly as described - Extremely useful for my camper on a long drive - Great rear view - Mirror replacement when towing - Having a second camera allows me to point it very close to the rear bumper but have a view also a nice wide field of view for normal driving - Power switch built into the cigarette lighter plug is handy - Easy to mount cameras with very strong brackets and lots of screw and positioning options. I haven't tried writing to the SD card yet. Not very good: - With polarized glasses, the display is quite dim and difficult to see. No problems without glasses and with non-polarized lenses. But I really like polarized lenses to reduce glare. The front of the display was covered with a plastic sheet with a small red tab. I thought it was a temporary protective film. When I took it off, I couldn't see the ALL display in polarized sunglasses. Obviously this sheet is doing something to change the polarization. So now I have a poorly renovated screen protector with lots of blisters and wrinkles. DO NOT RECORD THIS if you are unfamiliar with it - Slight lag in picture - maybe 1/2 second - usually imperceptible but sometimes perceptible - Frame rate drops (without notice) when there is interference; This is GOOD because you don't get any noise or distortion in a pristine picture. But BAD when the display suddenly stops updating for a few seconds and you don't notice - because cars can sneak up on you from behind and you just don't know they're there. Personal preference: - I really wish the display could be adjusted to show images from both cameras without stretching them across the screen (twice as wide, so heavily distorted). However, if you only have two cameras connected, you won't be able to display the quad view with two slots full.
