My oven is heating up to about 75 degrees above normal as diagnosed by an oven mechanic. Unfortunately, the part needed to repair my oven is no longer produced. So. Buying an oven thermometer seemed like a cheaper alternative to a new double oven. And this oven thermometer agrees with my oven mechanic. So I lower the temperature to 75 degrees, keep an eye on the thermometer and I'm good at baking cookies and turkey. A very inexpensive solution. My only suggestion to the manufacturer is to put some silicone on the bottom so it's less prone to sliding off the oven rack and/or so you can rotate the hanger 90 degrees at the top for those of us with racks that have wires that come off back to front, not side to side.
