Review on upHere RGB Case Fan with Motherboard Sync, Adjustable Colorful LED Fans, Controller and PWM Fans - PF1207-5. by Bill Roberts

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good fans, great controller with one caveat

The fans overall look good and are fairly quiet in my Masterbox NR400 MATX case. I have no complaints about them. You'll need to put rubber pads in the corners, but there are enough for either side of each fan. I haven't messed with fan controls, but I think their speed can be adjusted via software. The other information I know about them is that they are hydraulic mounts. I don't know enough about fan bearing types to immediately know if this is a good thing or a bad thing. In the past ten years of working with computers, I've had relatively few fan failures, so I've never bothered to verify this information. The fan controller is good as it's one of the few I've seen that allows you to plug in a 5V ARGB header and power connectors for 7 fans. In addition, it has a SATA connector for power and an ARGB connector for connecting to one of the 5V headers on the motherboard. It also has a 2-pin switch that can be used to change the lighting modes (from solid to different types of patterns). /Colours). If you hold the switch for about 3 seconds it will switch to motherboard control which is a great feature too! You can also just unplug the switch from the controller and turn it off with the reset button on the case if you want. I'm using the switch that came with it, but it routes through one of the PCI-E gateways on the back for easy access. I connected my case fans (2 front, top and rear) to the controller and then my two CPU fans are connected in series to the CPU fan headers on the motherboard. quite often loses the "motherboard" setting. When the PC goes to sleep or shuts down, the controller reverts to the last settings you had before switching to motherboard mode. When this happens, I just scroll through the modes to select the one that's closest to what I've installed the Gigabyte software on just in case I forget, and I don't have to reach for my case to reattach them. Overall I think this set is worth the price.
