Review on πŸ› οΈ Wax Shop 50956 Rebuild Medium Cut Polishing Compound - 32 ounces (32oz) by Awiwi Swift

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Not a miracle cure, but great for normal scratches. 4-4.5

My husband has a 1999 Volvo that he loves. By the time the odometer stopped spinning, it had clocked up over 400,000 miles. The dashboard lights no longer work and it definitely needs a facelift. But he still loves it. And while he doesn't ride it regularly, he occasionally winds it up and rides it around the neighborhood, reminiscing about the great times they had. Therefore, it is not surprising that the sun damaged the paint. When I ordered this product (for an honest review) I thought it would be a miracle worker. We expected this product to restore "Jessie" (as I call her) to her former glory. I think it was a little ambitious. The Wax Shop's Rebuild 2000 Medium Cut didn't restore Jessie to her former glory. Instead, it fills in small scratches on the bodywork of our new cars where the paintwork isn't as badly damaged. The instructions recommend applying a small amount of the product before removing it with a buffer. We used a small pad and spot-fixed small scratches (you know what you get from people parked at the grocery store, maybe shopping carts or other pesky blemishes). And while this product didn't really help Jesse (laughs, too much sun damage), it does a great job on new car models. We have a four car family. The colors of the car are blue, red, gray and beige and this repair compound works well with any of the colors. A small amount will improve very superficial scratches. So for less than $35 you get a pretty decent product that fixes minor bugs. I would advise anyone in the auto repair shop to try this product.
