I wanted to use my Xbox 360 as an extender for the Microsoft Media Player that was installed on a computer on my home network. I could run an ethernet cable to another room or try to do it wirelessly. I tried this piece and it connected to my wifi and I was able to launch the media player but it was slow, buffered and kept freezing. I ended up plugging in a WIFI extender https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08DHCC8BN/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and then connecting Ethernet to the Xbox. Which works great. No buffering, no drops.
