workmanship is bad. I bought it once and sent it back because the area where the mic was plugged in came out. I sent it back and bought a new one. The second lasted about a week and the same thing happened. It's only worse this time. The microphone is switched off. I am very careful with my cables and wrap them up all the time. The fasteners on the ends have loom style protection and seem to be holding up well. However, the place where the microphone is attached is only held together with glue.
