, but if you use it often you will find its flaws; - Replacing the batteries is a real hassle, two screws need to be unscrewed while holding the device upside down. - The battery compartment is not secured and the springs/contacts move when shocked. - the stand should be a bit wider, the device doesn't stand well unless you're inside! - the handle is nice and long and holds the batteries, unfortunately this unbalances the wheel and exacerbates the instability problem - if the device tips over, it always does (!) when the handle hits something hard, causing the Battery compartment loosens and breaks the connection. - Batteries don't last long when it's cold and you forget to use them when it rains. - There are functions (memory?) that can be executed, but there are no instructions. - I found that the locks on the legs came loose on their own and I had to tape them around to prevent them from opening. I really wanted to love this wheel - with easy to read numbers and easy reset on the handle. And I've learned to put my foot on the stand so it doesn't fall off when I'm taking notes - but there are too many mistakes that could have been easily constructed. I use this wheel to survey my house three days a week so I see it often. *** 9/22/16 (almost a year of use) *** - Forced to upgrade from 3 to 4 stars due to excellent customer service. Batteries last much longer in summer.
