The first lid I bought kept sliding off and had to be pulled back into place twice a day. The strap holding the back cover was smooth and could slip off with every movement. This new one slips on the back like a sock and the arm pads have a front panel that fits rather than just getting loose. After two weeks of use, the fit does not need to be adjusted. The fabric is a quilted layer with a thin padding underneath which is very good as the chair is heavily padded. My chair is a big la-z-boy if that helps. Highly recommended.
