Review on ๐Ÿ“ TECPEL TG 902 Digital Thickness Gauge by Marco Roberson

Works as it should. Easy to use.

I have used this sensor on more than a dozen cars. 20 to 30 measurements on each car. It worked perfectly. The initial setup when you first turn it on is a little tedious. The instructions may differ slightly due to the translation. So I read it a few times. Did the first calibration and set my signals to thickness, you can set them too thick or too thin. Now I just check the calibration before checking the car, this is easy to do with the calibration disk that comes with the unit. After the initial calibration, I only had to make one adjustment. The pouch that comes with the kit is great for use in the field and can be attached to a belt. In my case I attached it to the camera bag, it's always with me. It is very easy to use and turns itself off. Pull the trigger to turn it on, place it on a surface, and pull the trigger again. It's so easy, it only takes a second to read. I find it a valuable tool for repaint detection and body repair. It was 100% accurate in detecting body work and paint that may have been overpolished or oversprayed. For the price it's a great tool, I recommend it to anyone considering a paint thickness gauge.
