I didn't want to increase the size of the wooden paint box I had because it was already too heavy. However: I had to carry this plus a bucket to get everything. This one is way better because it holds everything but your palette, easel, and stand. For oil painting, it includes all the paints, brushes, mediums, rags, perfumes, finders/scales and soaps you can throw in. The bars are detachable, which makes it easy to set up storage for different sizes of tubes and bottles. I use a square compartment in the base that holds the brush cleaner upright so I don't have to worry about the solvent tipping over and spilling into my bag. The only downside is that the brush cleaner is too tall: the box's lid does close and snap into place, but the brush tray doesn't sit as flush as it should. As long as your hands are on the handle and not on your head, this won't cause any problems. The price was very good for this quality, which surprised me a lot. It's made the same as my smaller box, which (I think) costs more.
