You don't see in the dark. There is a light you can turn on that helps you see in the dark haha, but it's just a blue light, not a special light, just a regular blue light. My son had fun with this for about three days, now it's just something to sit there. He also found it painful to wear and had to wear it over a baseball cap. It's also very difficult.
