For my daily work I have to use these syringe bottles really often and believe me if the wall of the bottle is too thick your hand will get tired very, very quickly. . If you're doing this multiple times a day for many plants, you'll want the bottle to have soft sides. These bottles have sufficient softness and are easy to squeeze when dispensing water. Since that is their primary purpose, I would rate them very highly among competing products (there are bottles with very thick walls made from harder plastics that cause hand fatigue and even damage over time).
