The frame looks beautiful from a distance It's not wood, it's wood-like plastic. I was a little disappointed with how the picture fits into the frame. There really are no separate places for pictures. There are posts that should keep the glass and images separate and straight, but the glass and images barely match. Also, don't remove the backing unless the frame is laying flat, as those braces won't hold the glass, which I put under our pressure on the back. After putting everything back together I noticed that a pane of glass wasn't quite flat so I tried to fix it and it broke. Had I known that, I could have spent more money on a more user-friendly frame. I packed everything up and hung it up, but I won't be buying it again.
