Don’t get me wrong: this bag looks good, is functional, and definitely works as a messenger bag, but it’s not what I expected because it’s not canvas, which changes the whole look. Canvas bags have a rougher, more casual look that also works great for sewing on patches or painting and is both thick and sturdy. This fabric is some sort of dense synthetic textile that has a hint of luster and looks more adult, if that makes any sense, but you can’t paint it or put patches on it, for sure. Plenty of subdivisions for good organization, though the two outer pockets normally used for water are too small for that purpose. Maybe a sunglass case? This bag is good, but it’s not what I expected or what the description says, so it’s going to be three stars—it’s so important for sellers to be clear on what the product is to avoid disappointment. It’s just not what I was looking for.
