(SOLVED!) I spent three hundred and fifty dollars on a JetFlash 790k 8GB (black). Although the recording speed was listed as 6 mb/s on the product's packaging, the actual speed was 12 mb/s, which came as a pleasant surprise to the customer. I was overjoyed with the acquisition until I found out that the flash drive was unreasonably stupid in usb 2.0. When I tried to use it in any of my laptops, the drive was either not identified or an error message displaying either 10 or 43 appeared. On a previous occasion, it was accidentally discovered on a laptop; however, when the user was in the midst of writing a file, an error occurred, and the flash drive reverted back to its depressed state. In the computer, it is still defined as 2.0, but the write/read speed of 1mb/s is also broken. Both of these problems are related to the same defect. In general, I just found out about this jam by complete mistake, and I wanted to check out how fast you can read in 2.0. If this weren't the case, I'm pretty sure I'd give it a score of 5 (no, I wouldn't give it a score of 5, but regardless, the flash drive isn't very pleasant to feel in terms of tactile sensations, and this is something that's important to me from the same Sandisk brand—the feeling that you are holding a cool solid device, and it's not very light to the touch). The cost of the flash drive can be considered justified overall.
