It is definitely not the same shape and finish as the original Toyota key fob case but after a little cleaning it will work fine. .In the beginning, when installing the electronics in a new shell, one of the buttons was constantly pressed. All of the plastic in the body and buttons needed to be shaved off some excess plastic, and the protrusions on the inside of the buttons needed to be shaved off a bit too. Also, the spring that holds the physical key in the key fob was too big. But just using the spring from the original keychain case works just fine. The new key fob case is also slightly larger than the original Toyota cases. This is only really noticeable if you hold it next to an unused factory key. Another difference that might affect durability is that the button labels on the replacement are painted on black plastic. On the original keys, the colored plastic labels are melted into the black keys. So, over time, there is a high probability that the button labels will be erased. For those who wish to do this, the original physical key can be used in a new case rather than having to cut a new physical key. For $12 I basically have a new key that won't fall apart.
