These socks are very cute. My 6 year old daughter loves them and she is about 50 inches tall and the socks come down to her knee. She asks to even wear them to gym class. I have washed them about 20 times in a very short time. The threads are still tight. The only thing I can see that could cause a problem is that after so many washes, the bow comes undone in the wash, but that's easily fixed by putting it in a mesh garment bag stuck (Dollar Tree sells them).
