This is a super unstructured mesh upper and flexible outsole so you know what you're in. That's why I personally like them so much. Ideal for river swimming or walking in wet areas with slippery surfaces. The grips on the soles are very comfortable and prevent slipping very well. I've worn them in rivers and tide pools with rather mossy rock surfaces that usually give me trouble in regular running shoes. I had no problems slipping in these shoes.
