I bought two of these collars after two of my dogs were playing outside and one got his lower jaw caught under the other dog's buckle. It was awful for the dogs and for me as I thought I definitely had an injured or dead dog. I didn't know the breakaway collar existed until I checked out and bought them the same day. I have tested them to make sure they really come off and am satisfied that they are a good safe product. The only thing I would like to add to these collars is to make them reflective. It looks like a reflective tear-off collar isn't an option, so I added my own reflective tape to the collars at night just to be safe. June 7th 2020 Just bought two more of these detachable collars, love them for my dogs. . My boys play very rough together and every few days one of them breaks his collar from rough play, they work as intended. I live on a farm so they have a lot of places to play. So far I've always found her collar and charms within a day. The two extra ones I bought are spares in case I can't find my lost collar. I don't think you will be disappointed with this product. August 7, 2020 I buy quite a few of these collars. My dogs made a game of ripping off other dogs' collars. They're quite fun to watch but the 1 year old pup loves to chew on his mate's collar and I've had him damage 2 of them so much I've had to replace them and never found the 3rd one. It's going to be expensive, but it's worth it knowing no one will get hurt.
