Item Description: This item is a four number combination foot length refrigerator cable lock. The product is cheap but strong enough to easily connect two refrigerator doors to a French door. The numbered thumb grips have a good click and are easy to rotate. The cable itself is encased in a translucent PVC or polyurethane tube. The cable doesn't appear to be steel but more like braided nylon cord, which is fine as you don't need a strong steel cable for its intended purpose. For example, we bought a lock to deter our autistic teenage son's midnight hunt. The knob doesn't hold the toggle switches in place, meaning we can't change the combination to anything other than the factory setting. I do not recommend this product if you plan to install your own combination due to this shortcoming.
