I ordered both medium and large pants as I wasn't sure if they would fit my 11 and 13 year old girls. My 13 year old is rather petite and my 11 year old is medium height. I thought maybe a medium (10-12) would fit a smaller one and a large (14-16) might fit my average child. However, I ended up buying two medium sized pairs (10-12). The big one was much bigger and didn't fit any of the daughters. The tool is suitable for my two daughters as it has waist (inner) belt adjustment; but the length is just right. If they grow another centimeter, they become "big water bodies". These pants are perfect for our family outing at the end of the month!
