Bought these to replace the traditional bottom wall doorstops that came with my house. My kids played with these old doorstops too much, moving them around and rendering them ineffective. These doorstops attach to the hinge, away from and out of reach of children. I've had bad experiences with the traditional two-rubber design in the past, so I wanted to use this new design, which had a flat piece of plastic that lay flush, making it less likely (on one side at least) to hit . through a door or wall. They feel very firm and have a silicone or rubber gasket that separates the stopper from the hinge and provides a tighter fit on the pen. My advice for installation is that the plastic part should face towards the door. The rubber stopper hasn't damaged any of my door frames and the plastic piece hasn't dented any of my doors so far (after about a week of use). I've seen that some people didn't like the wobbling of these types of stoppers. If you're installing them on an interior door, you probably won't need more than 90 degrees of movement. These stops can allow movement well in excess of 90 degrees. Overall very happy with the purchase. If they drop out next year I will update this review.
