DO NOT USE FOR JST-XH or less (including JST-PH)

For JST-PH connections, 100% of more than 50 crimps failed immediately or shortly after installation (wire break from insert) . fully). At least half of the JST-XH connections failed (operated only a few days). These crimping tools cause the metal inserts to cut into the wire insulation (I've tried several gauges) causing them to snap off immediately or very soon after installation. I tried some solid copper wires from a CAT-5 cable just to see what would happen. The terminals were solid, the insert slid into the connector, and everything seemed to connect well. Shortly after installation (a few minutes after start-up), the cables broke.
