Polaris brush guard obsolete

I paid extra money to buy a Polaris brush guard thinking it could be stronger and better implemented. There are cheaper imitations, but I settled on the Polaris listed here. It's fairly weak and will probably only take light hits against trees. Installation is a real bear if you try to install it yourself. The instruction steps really aren't the easiest way to install this. After wrestling with this thing for an hour, I finally decided to pull the ends of the bumper apart. The outer struts were not aligned enough to tighten the bolts until I disassembled the ends of the bumper and first attached and threaded the support strut and then reassembled the end onto the center body of the bumper. This bumper is missing screws so now I have to run to the hardware store and see if I can find some screws to finish installing the missing screws that should have been in the package. Looking back, if I were to buy this again I would just buy a cheap fake bumper. It can't be worse. At least then I would expect the problems I'm having with it. I do not recommend this brush guard. I would suggest looking elsewhere if you need something permanent that can protect your ranger.
