I was actually pretty excited to get this item. I love making salads with every meal, plus I'm always scared of chopping veggies and this seemed like the perfect solution. I was very disappointed to say the least. I tried slicing tomatoes for a salad and they came out soft and raw and the tray didn't even collect the juice leaving me with a puddle of tomato juice all over the kitchen counter. When I tried to clean it to put it back in the box to return it, it took the longest because there was a lot of leather inside that I couldn't get to. don't waste time
