This item was easy to assemble. I wrapped the caps that attach to the top of the flagpole with the tape that came with the kit. Then I put a large rubber band over the lid and tighten the lid with pliers. I've been driving at highway speeds since then without incident. Flags and flagpoles work perfectly. I used a rubber band to avoid scratching the caps when tightening with pliers and to ensure a good grip with the pliers.
