I've been struggling with slime for several months. They tried changing the water, reducing the top dressing, and reducing the lighting. Nothing helped, so I finally gave up. This product removed the mucus in just a few days on the first try. Didn't harm any of my animals (seahorses); they seemed completely indifferent. I removed the cup from the protein skimmer so I could still get oxygen, but I didn't remove the product. Bring it back in three days with a 25% water change and the aquarium will look great. Wouldn't hesitate to use it again if needed. That was a month ago and hasn't happened yet.
