This is great! I tried about 6 other (more expensive) boots but none of them could keep little Gus on his feet. They all seem to have reached the limit of where you can tighten them around your ankles. Not those bad boys! My puppy has big paws and small long thin legs. The design of these boots allows me to tie them very tight. The single strap has a two-stage Velcro closure. So first attach the back of the boot with velcro, then wrap the strap around and reattach the velcro. I didn't like the faux fur cuffs at first, but now I really appreciate them because they help keep the snow from clogging the top of the boot. The soft, sticky, flexible rubber outsole is great for traction. minuses? I haven't had any issues with this, but there are a few open seams along the inside that connect the insole to the sides. You should check the nails to make sure they are blunt and don't have a break that could catch on them. (It's blurry and the boot is covered in fur but I tried to take a picture of it.) He's only worn them a dozen times so can't say much about durability but they seem to be well constructed and win. It will fall apart soon. (Gus only weighs 20 pounds so I don't think he's heavy enough to carry her strong). VERY happy with them! I'll buy a second pair as a spare :)
