I have trouble finding pants that don't gap at the waist for my skinny 7 year old. She normally wears a size 5/6 and I purchased size Small. The waist fits her perfectly. No gapping! The material is thin, but the fleece lining keeps it from being see through and also keeps her nice and warm. She wore the baby pink set under a sleeveless dress during a cold winter day and it worked very well. I'm definitely buying another set in a different color.
