Review on Osprey Dyna 15 Women's Hydration Vest for Running by Jake Pavelko

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I thought I loved it until I bought an Osprey Raven 14 and then I tried this

Not long ago I got an Osprey Raven 14 and fell in love. Not the first package I've fallen in love with. I have a large, serious MountainSmith multi-day pack that I still love after years of use. In fact, this Osprey Raven isn't the first Osprey kit I've really, really liked. Osprey seems to make a lot of excellent backpacks. However, I was surprised at how quickly I found something even better than the Raven - the Dyna 15. I'd like to point out that the Raven is meant for cycling, but I loved it for hiking too! Until I met Dyna. This is a very comfortable and functional backpack. Both the Dyna and Raven hug my back well, keeping everything close to my body and therefore well balanced. Dyna outperforms Raven by having a softer, lighter back. The Raven has a fairly rigid backplate. This can be a plus if you're wearing something with annoying edges that hit your back. Instead, the Dyna has a nice double layer of mesh at the back that keeps the wearer cool and allows sweat to evaporate. I like the little pockets on the front, like a vest. The front of the vest/belt is very comfortable and the pockets are very handy, especially for a cellphone. In the backpack there are more small pockets hidden here and there. Osprey offers the following Dyna features: • Osprey Hydraulics 2.5 LT reservoir with QuickConnect and bite valve sternum strap magnet • Zippered front main compartment and separate inner zippered reservoir compartment • Zippered welt pocket on front • Accessible dual stretch mesh pocket on lower side panel with zipper • Lower stabilizing/enhancing compression straps • Adjustable/removable dual sternum straps with latches for custom stability • Vertical welt pocket with zippered straps for valuables or cellphone • Dual, extra-large size Soft pockets for bottles and stretch-mesh meal belt • Two bottom pockets for stretch food and supplementary mesh strap • Attachment for trekking poles • Removable safety whistle • Compression pocket in elastic mesh on the front • Stabilizing loincloth with pockets on the flash and But it's JustMe.
