Review on Sailor Fude/ Brush Pen: Fude De Mannen - Pearl Pink - Ideal for Calligraphy and Lettering by Kelly Caballes

Amazing tip!

I was wary when I received this BC, it was so light (made of plastic). But when I put a sailor converter (a universal ink tank cannot be used and must be purchased separately), things got better. Especially when you put the cap on. For months I researched reviews, websites, and information from ink supply stores on what type of fountain pen is best. I've only read good things about Sailor pens. I'm not willing to shell out $200 for a pen, especially since I love variety. So I bought this and two calligraphic sailors. i really love her Especially the curved ends. I wanted something with a slight curve. The sailor has amazing feathers! I can't believe this is a $20 pen. I've found that my cross is smoother on fountain pen paper but doesn't have the flexibility and ability to create swirls that I love. My other pens are actually more expensive (my first) Dryden or cheaper (they have their benefits but aren't worth the price tagmans. I've also found that pen ink is the other part of the equation! I use it now I'm a noodle after since I've read so much about it. Sailor applies the ink smoothly without scratching or pausing. It's also a quick-drying ink so I don't smudge while writing, especially when trying to improve my handwriting or lettering .

Pros
  • Calligraphy Pens
Cons
  • So far so good
