Fit and finish on par with the Apple Magic Mouse 2, maybe even a cut above. It doesn't have an aluminum base, but the plastic is covered in a matte, matte finish that makes it almost the same as the Alcantara material they use for the Surface keyboards. The metal scroll wheel literally looks like the crown of a luxury watch. Like smooth, heavy, well-crafted metal. If you're like me, you'll find yourself scrolling up and down even if you don't have to. I also like the aesthetics of this mouse and accompanying keyboard. They look timeless and modern on a desk - I only wish they had made a mechanical version of the keyboard. I've tried gaming mice in the past and found them to be either too bulky, too complex, too small, or a combination of the three. This mouse seems big enough to be designed for real human hands and doesn't have too much bulk on the top. This is not a gaming mouse, but I have no problem playing games. Plus, it works as accurately and smoothly as any gaming mouse I've ever used, and no proprietary software is required to set it up. It works right out of the box.
