My daughter is on a very restricted diet. She is 34 years old and weighs only 72 pounds. She needs to restrict her sodium, potassium, and fluid intake, and she cannot tolerate high-calorie drinks with cream. Because of these restrictions, smoothies, yogurt, and oatmeal are limited. Since these are some of the most recommended blended products, she had to get creative. She's determined to gain weight and has found two compelling uses for this high-calorie supplement. Experimenting with cooking processes, she found that mixing with water before cooking worked best. Bring water + benecalorium to a boil. Add grits and cook as usual. Top with unsalted butter. Tahini Salad Dressing + Benecalories 2 tbsp. l. Tahini (or peanut or nut butter) 2 tbsp. l. lime juice (or lemon) 2 tbsp. l. maple syrup 1 tbsp. l. soy sauce or coconut oil 1 tbsp. 1/2 teaspoon sriracha sauce or chili-garlic sauce (omit or adjust condiments to taste) (and less Asian flavor), just use the first three ingredients (tahini, maple syrup, and citrus) with benecalorie. She uses this dressing with veggies as well as chilled noodles with shredded chicken for a pasta salad. Granola and salad dressing. They're both delicious, and Benekaloria doesn't spoil the taste, smell, or texture. The croup initially proved to be somewhat problematic. Her first attempt: cook groats as usual, then mix Benekaloria into a ready-cooked groats. Be that as it may, the benekaloriya has not fully passed into the grain. No matter how hard she stirred, the oily film would float back up and she had to stir again before every bite. Since it was never fully mixed, there was even the slightest odor. Not a bad smell, just a slightly oily odor that you couldn't get rid of because the product wasn't fully absorbed. Second attempt: add benecalorium to the groats while cooking. Better, but the oil will still separate in the cooked product. Not much smell though. Third try: Just put Benecalorie in a pot of water. Do this before cooking and before adding grits. Bring the water and benecalorie to a boil, then add the groats. Perfect. Mixes completely. No division. no smell An added bonus is that the grits also become creamier and fluffier. Add butter and you'll never know you've just added 330 calories to your morning breakfast. She's just started using this product, but we're hoping those extra calories will help her recover. I've just received our second instance of this and will be using it up in a salad dressing, but do want to mention that my daughter has developed a slight intolerance to eating a full packet of cereal. It doesn't make her sick, but she does feel agitated for hours after breakfast cereal. Because of the TIM risk, she says she doesn't run or throw up; just an uncomfortable and slightly nauseous feeling, like she'd eaten something too greasy or greasy. She used to mix up a whole packet of breakfast cereal, and by lunchtime she feels "normal" again, she says.
